Flexible PCB Assembly for Prototypes and Small Series

Bringing an electronic design to life requires reliable assembly and attention to detail.

INBROLLY offers manual PCB assembly services for electronic prototypes, development projects and small production batches. We combine careful manual component placement, professional soldering techniques and controlled reflow soldering to deliver assembled printed circuit boards ready for testing and integration.

We provide a flexible approach to material sourcing as well. You can supply your own PCBs and components, ask us to arrange their procurement, or use selected standard components from our own stock.

Whether you need a single prototype or a small batch of assembled boards, we adapt the assembly process to your requirements.

Manual PCB Assembly

Flexible Assembly for Prototypes and Small Production Runs

Manual PCB assembly is an ideal solution for prototypes, development projects and small production quantities where flexibility and attention to detail are essential.

We manually place and assemble electronic components using professional tools and appropriate assembly techniques. This allows us to handle a wide range of PCB designs, including complex boards and mixed-technology assemblies.

Our assembly capabilities include:

  • SMD component placement and assembly.

  • Through-hole component assembly.

  • Fine-pitch component soldering.

  • Mixed-technology PCB assembly.

  • Component replacement and rework.

  • Prototype assembly and hardware modifications.

Manual assembly allows us to respond quickly to development needs without the overhead of automated production preparation.

Reflow Soldering

Controlled Soldering for Reliable SMD Assembly

For surface-mount components, we use reflow soldering to achieve consistent and reliable solder joints.

Solder paste is applied to the PCB pads, components are carefully placed and the assembled board is processed through a controlled heating profile. The reflow process melts the solder paste and creates reliable electrical and mechanical connections between the components and the PCB.

We pay attention to the soldering temperature profile and the thermal requirements of individual components to ensure an appropriate soldering process.

Reflow soldering is suitable for a wide range of SMD packages and allows us to achieve professional assembly results for prototypes and small-series production.

Through-Hole Assembly & Hand Soldering

Combining Different Assembly Technologies

Many electronic designs combine surface-mount and through-hole components.

We provide manual soldering for through-hole components and other parts that require individual assembly operations. This allows us to combine reflow-soldered SMD components with manually soldered connectors, terminals and other components.

The assembly process is adapted to the PCB design and component requirements.

Components & Material Sourcing

Flexible Options for PCB Components

We understand that sourcing components for prototypes and small production batches can be time-consuming and sometimes unnecessarily expensive.

You can provide your own electronic components, or we can arrange component procurement according to your Bill of Materials (BOM).

For commonly used standard components, we may also be able to use our own stock. This includes generic components such as resistors and capacitors, where suitable values, package sizes and specifications are available.

This flexibility can simplify prototype assembly, reduce procurement effort and avoid unnecessary orders of components that are already available.

Component sourcing options include:

  • Customer-supplied electronic components.

  • Procurement of specified components according to your BOM.

  • Use of suitable generic components from our own stock.

  • Discussion of alternative components when original parts are unavailable or difficult to source.

Any component substitutions are discussed and agreed upon before assembly to ensure that the selected parts meet the electrical and mechanical requirements of your design.

PCB Procurement

We Can Also Arrange PCB Manufacturing

If you do not have bare printed circuit boards available, we can arrange their manufacturing based on your PCB design data.

You can provide your existing Gerber or ODB++ files, and we can help select suitable manufacturing specifications and coordinate the order.

This allows you to obtain both the bare PCBs and the assembled boards through a single point of contact.

Alternatively, you can supply your own PCBs and use our assembly services independently.

From PCB Design to Assembled Electronics

Engineering Experience Behind Every Assembly

PCB assembly is closely connected to the quality of the original electronic design.

As an electronics development company, we understand the relationship between PCB layout, component selection, manufacturing constraints and assembly requirements.

This allows us to identify potential assembly issues early and provide practical feedback when preparing a design for assembly.

We can support your project with:

  • PCB design and manufacturing data review.

  • Bill of Materials (BOM) verification.

  • Component and footprint compatibility checks.

  • PCB procurement coordination.

  • Component sourcing and preparation.

  • PCB assembly and component soldering.

  • Visual inspection and assembly verification.

  • Prototype bring-up and functional testing.

If we are involved in the original PCB development, we can also take care of component procurement, assembly and initial hardware verification, creating a continuous development process without unnecessary handovers.

What We Need From You

To evaluate your PCB assembly requirements, we typically need:

  • PCB manufacturing data (Gerber or ODB++), if PCB procurement is required.

  • Bill of Materials (BOM) with component references and part numbers.

  • Component placement information or assembly drawings.

  • Solder paste layer data, if available.

  • Special assembly instructions, if applicable.

  • Required assembly quantity.

Please also let us know whether you will supply the PCB and components or would prefer us to arrange their procurement.

If some of these files are not available, we can discuss the available documentation and determine what additional information is needed.

Quality & Attention to Detail

We understand that even a small assembly error can affect the functionality of an entire electronic device.

Our assembly approach focuses on careful component handling, appropriate soldering techniques and verification of completed boards.

The inspection scope is adapted to the project and PCB complexity. Additional functional testing and hardware bring-up can be arranged as part of the assembly project.

Let's Build Your Prototype

Whether you need a single prototype, a small batch of assembled PCBs or help with component sourcing, we can provide a flexible assembly solution tailored to your needs.

Send us your PCB design, Bill of Materials and assembly requirements. We will be happy to discuss the possibilities and prepare a suitable proposal.
