The PI family expands with CAN FD and RS-232/485/422 modules

There are two new modules for Raspberry Pi or PI-CPUF407. One is the PI-CAN module with CAN FD interface with speeds up to 8 Mbit/s and the other is the PI-RSX combination module with optional RS-232, RS-485 or RS-422 interfaces. These are stackable HAT+ modules with integrated EEPROM for module detection and both with LED activity indication.

IPC-CPUF407 Automation Controller

IPC-CPUF407 is a DIN-IPC series controller for industrial and IoT applications. Its advantage is that it can be mounted in low profile distribution boards with the same profile as conventional circuit breakers. It includes the STM32F407 microcontroller, which supports Ethernet network interface, SDIO is used for Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as a wide range of other interfaces. It is therefore suitable for devices requiring either wired or wireless internet connectivity for data acquisition and control.

Electric bicycles costing tens of thousands are in vogue. They carry a large battery that first needs to be recharged from a socket and then you can set off on a route of just a few dozen kilometres. Then you have to find a socket again and recharge it with electricity produced from non-organic sources. INBROLLY goes the other way. For enthusiasts who set out on their own for long periods in the countryside, on expedition trips, on bikepacking, with little or no contact from civilization. You certainly won't get an e-bike here, but navigation and a cell phone are now an important part of the kit. The last contact with civilization. And there is nowhere to charge these devices. And it is for this purpose that we present the world's first powerbank that can be recharged from a bicycle dynamo - DYNABANK.

PayPal and Packeta

We greatly value all our customers and therefore we want to improve our services for them. We have now introduced the option to pay in our E-Shop using PayPal, so you can pay either from your PayPal account, if you have one, or by credit or debit card. It is no longer necessary to pay by bank transfer. We previously tried to set up a payment gateway through a bank, but this is only available for larger sales volumes, so it was rejected.

We are also introducing the option of shipping via Packeta. You can have your shipment sent to your address or pick it up at thousands of pickup points and boxes, not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also in most European countries. We also ship to the USA, for example. We do not yet have an integrated function for searching for pickup points directly in our E-Shop, so you will need to click on the link, search for a pickup point, and enter it in the comments, but we believe you can handle it.

DYNABANK Sale

I have already participated in the 1000-mile race across Czechia and Slovakia three times, and it has been five years since my last participation. The race is being held this year for the sixteenth time, and I have registered again. Since I use a mobile phone for navigation (I need it anyway), which is much more convenient and ultimately more reliable than dedicated navigation devices, I developed the DYNABANK power bank, which is charged from a bicycle dynamo hub. I feel that it needs to be innovated, so I am planning a new version for this race. Since I still have a lot of assembled PCBs, it is probably best time to sell them. Therefore, it will now be offered at a reduced price, where I am basically ignoring the entire assembled PCB. At a time when everyone is used to buying low-cost Chinese goods, let's take a look at history and the production cost.

Cheaper module PI-CPUF303 with STM32F303 microcontroler for basic applications

The PI module family has grown with the addition of another processor module with an STM32F303 microcontroller, which is suitable for basic control or reading of analog or digital sensors. The processor runs at a frequency of 72 MHz, has 128 kB of FLASH memory, 32 kB of RAM, and 8 kB of faster CCMRAM memory, and also allows to run FreeRTOS. Of course, it also supports our peripheral submodules.

Meassuring EMI with LISN 5 and LISN CM/DM

When testing developed products, EMI emissions are an important parameter. Testing in accredited laboratories is expensive, so pre-certification tests are performed to verify emissions. This requires an EMI receiver or spectrum analyzer, as well as a LISN (line impedance stabilization network).

Using PI-RSX module on Raspberry Pi

The PI-RSX module allows you to add RS-232, RS-485, or RS-422 interfaces to your Raspberry Pi. Everything is contained in a single module, and the interface type is selected using jumpers on the PCB. Let's take a look at how to use it in Python.
