When testing developed products, EMI emissions are an important parameter. Testing in accredited laboratories is expensive, so pre-certification tests are performed to verify emissions. This requires an EMI receiver or spectrum analyzer, as well as a LISN (line impedance stabilization network).
These are also expensive, mostly designed for high currents (>10A) and voltages (>100V). This is unnecessary for small devices, so we have developed our own LISN 5, suitable for small modules and testing according to the CISPR 25 standard (automotive modules and components). And why not offer it to others?
During verification, it is also often necessary to distinguish whether the emitted emissions are common-mode or differential-mode. The appropriate type of filter is then designed accordingly. This is done using LISN CM/DM, which is connected to two LISNs, and CM or DM emissions can be measured on the other two ports. You can find more information here.
